A YOU Aware a Padlock can be broken very easily...
Padlock Protection™ - STOPS Thieves Breaking Padlocks
Padlock Protection™, the Worlds only "Steel Shroud" that completely encloses a Padlock, its shackle and both ends of the Chain.
The "Steel Shroud" has been specifically designed and patented to completely protect the Padlock Body and Shackle from Leverage, Hammer and Bolt Cutter Attacks. Which are the three common methods thieves use to break Padlocks and/or the Mild Steel Chain normally used.
Use Padlock Protection™ where ever a Padlock and Chain is required to keep an intruder from breaking into your property eg. Gate, Swing Door, Sliding Door or stealing your Trailer, Caravan, Motor Bike and anything else you secure with a Padlock and Chain.
Padlock Protection™ Consist of three individual components:
- The Patented Australian made "Steel Shroud" manufactured from a solid piece of steel using state of the art CNC machining technology.
- The renowned Abus 83/45 Padlock (includes two keys). The Abus Padlock can be fitted with a Restricted System, be Master Keyed or Keyed Alike by any professional Locksmith in the World.
- 500mm long Australian made Freight 70 High Tensile Chain (10mm) which is 99.9% Bolt Cutter Proof. As approximately 79% of Padlock Protection™ sales are purchased to secure a gate to a post or double gates together, we have found 500mm is long enough. If securing a Trailer, Caravan, Motor Bike or anything else that requires a Padlock and Chain, longer lengths of Freight 70 High Tensile Chain can be purchased for each Padlock Protection™.
To protect the “Steel Shroud” and High Tensile Chain from climatic conditions both are Zinc Plated with a gold passovated finish.
"Steel Shroud" The Reason for Developing this Unique Security System called Padlock Protection™
We developed the "Steel Shroud" because there is nothing sold that completely encloses the whole Padlock inside a machined solid piece of steel.
The patented "Steel Shroud" we have developed will STOP thieves / vandals from breaking a Padlock by the three common methods used.
The fact is; if a thief / vandal can place a spanner around the Padlock Body or it's Shackle and twist it, it will break. This is called a Leverage Attack. More about this below.
A must easier and quicker way for a thief / vandal to break into or steal your property is; as most people use Mild Steel Chain all that is require is a Bolt Cutter to cut the Mild Steel Chain.
It Is That Simple...
Problem
Most people use Mild Steel Chain and a cheap Padlock thinking this is adequate security:
- For their gates.
- To secure a caravan, boat/trailer or trailer.
- To secure their Motor Bike.
- Or wherever else a Padlock and Chain is required.
Thieves love Mild Steel Chain and a cheap Padlock because all they need is a Bolt Cutter to cut the Mild Steel Chain or the Padlock's Shackle or they use a Hammer or Hammer and Screwdriver / Cold Chisel to break apart the Padlock, see the picture on your left.
The most common way thieves / vandals break Padlocks and enter and/or steal your property is called a Leverage Attack, see the picture to your right.
A Leverage Attack involves twisting the Chain to make it taut then place a Spanner on the Padlock and pull down and turn. This is Very Quick and Very Quiet. Either the Padlock Body will break or the Shackle snaps or the Shackle pops out of the Padlock Body or a link of the Mild Steel Chain breaks.
The average Padlock only requires an 8" - 10" spanner to break it. For the small percentage of people who have bought a more robust Padlock all that is required to break them is a longer spanner or as you see in the picture to your right, place a hollow steel tube on the end of the spanner to gain more leverage.
It Is That Simple...
Solution
Like most solutions it was relatively simple to solve the problem of STOPPING a Leverage, Hammer or Bolt Cutter Attack on a Padlock and/or Chain.
Completely enclose the Padlock inside a
"Steel Shroud".
Padlock Protection™ "Steel Shroud" is manufactured from a solid piece of Steel using the latest CNC manufacturing technology. To protect the "Steel Shroud" and High Tensile Chain from climatic conditions both are Zinc Plated with a gold passivated finish.
Why Should You Buy Padlock Protection™
To STOP thieves from breaking into YOUR property or stealing YOUR valuable possessions.
The primary objective of a thief is stealing items of value which can be exchanged for cash or drugs.
The most important security tip we can give you is:
Lock up YOUR possessions or they will be broken into or stolen.
Walk round any industrial area and the vast majority of gates only have a piece of Mild Steel Chain and a cheap Padlock as the first line of security, securing the factory and all the possession in it and business owners wonder why their businesses are broken into so easily.
The same applies to Motor Bikes, Caravans, Boats/Trailers or Trailers. Drive round your local area and see how many people leave their Caravan or Trailer at the front of their homes with the trailer hitch facing the road and nothing securing them to their home, fence or some other solid item. All a thief has to do is reverse their vehicle to the Caravan or Trailer and attach it to their vehicle and drive away.
Very Quick and Very Quiet
The majority of personal property theft occurs because the item was not locked to something solid or did not have a Chain and Padlock round it. It is just as important to lock that Bicycle, Motor Bike or Lawn Mower in your Garage or Shed as it is to lock your Bicycle etc at your local shopping centre or other public area.
If you are a tradesman it is equally important to lock your tools and equipment in your vehicle when they are not being used.
